Capital access and technical assistance — on the corridor, not across town.

RFEDC operates an SBDC-style satellite office placed directly in the Raleigh-Frayser corridor. Most small business support in Memphis requires residents to travel to downtown or midtown offices. This office eliminates that barrier by bringing capital access, business formation support, and technical assistance to the neighborhood.

RFEDC's Trade School Initiative builds skilled-trades training pathways — starting with welding — through partnership and collaboration agreements with regional employers and training providers. The goal is not generic job training but pipelines matched to actual labor demand in the Memphis metro.

Capital

Capital Infrastructure

Accountable philanthropic capital structured for sustained investment.

RFEDC's capital infrastructure positions the organization to receive and deploy donor-advised fund dollars through the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis (CFGM) and the Fair Break Economic Empowerment Fund at Fair Break Federal Credit Union. This is not a grant-chasing model — it is formal capital infrastructure with accountability controls built in.
